HAZOPS and Safety Analysis
A fundamental part of any Safety Case is the process of Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS).
Using proven techniques such as structured brainstorming, zonal analysis and tried and tested checklists, we can work with your engineers to identify and record the hazards associated with your system and its use and operation.
Sentient Systems has a wealth of experience in performing such analysis and can assist in the preparation of Hazard Logs and Safety Cases to such standards as IEC 61508, DEF-STAN 00-56 or Mil-Std - 882 demonstrating that safety is clearly accounted for in your design.
Our engineers are also skilled in the use of Hazard Management software tools including the UK MoD preferred CASSANDRA™ package and can assist in the population, maintenance and analysis of Hazard Databases.
