Electronic circuit simulation has proven to be a powerful and cost effective means of confirming a circuit’s effectiveness. This is of fundamental concern to designers of life support and safety critical systems. There are difficulties, however, for the occasional user of the technique. Unless an in-depth understanding of component simulation models is gained and applied accurately, the simulation can produce unrealistic results that are not evident.
